We moved here but our heritage of Italian recipes remain intact, and sometimes on Sundays, when outside it is still too fresh for a picnic near the canal. We love to bake some sweets for our Swedish friends.
This time Andrea has done some wonderful Catucci.
Ingredients
* 500g flour
* 140g hazelnuts
* 140g almonds
* 350g sugar
* 2 eggs
* 2 egg yolks
* 50g butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Toast the almonds and hazelnuts for 10 ‘.
In a bowl, beat eggs with sugar and add the butter.
Add the flour and baking powder. Add the almonds and hazelnuts and finished to set the mixture on the pastry board.
Divide the mixture into three balls and place on a buttered and floured baking sheet, high 1.5 cm wide and 5-6cm.
Keep them separate because they grow well when placed in the oven.
Bake for 20-30 ‘until the dough is not sufficiently hard to the touch.
Take it out of the oven and let them cool. Cut into strips 1.5 cm wide.
Put them back in the oven at 160 ° for another 15 `.
Let cool and enjoy them with a glass of Vin Santo or as I like with a glass of milk.
